Yes! You can send messages to your guests using either text messages or emails. Here's how:
- Create a new event by filling in your event details on the About, Where, When, Settings, and Customize pages.
See: How to create an invitation to an event. - Your event is ready and now you can start adding guests!
On the website:- On the Guests page you can import your contacts’ emails/mobile phone numbers from your Google account, or a .csv file. You can also add guests individually by clicking the Manual tab at the top of the page. When you are adding the guests, enter their mobile phone number in the Email or Phone Number field.
- Once you have entered all your guests, click Continue to Review.
- If you are satisfied with your guest list click Send Invite to [Number of Guests].
On the iOS or Android App:- Click Invite via Contacts.
- Click to add guests from your contacts list or add new contacts by clicking Import in the upper right corner.
- You can choose to import your contacts’ emails/mobile phone numbers from your phone, Google account, or a .csv file. You can also add guests individually by clicking the Manual tab. When you are adding the guests, enter their mobile phone number in the Email/Phone Number field.
- Once you have entered all your guests, click Done Adding Guests at the bottom of the screen.
- If you are satisfied with your guest list click Send Invitation.
- Your invitation will automatically be sent by text message to any guest who has a mobile number or by email to any guest who has an email address.
A few notes about text messages/SMS:
Hosts are solely responsible for obtaining permission to send invitations to guests via SMS. Unsolicited SMS invitations to guests are expressly prohibited and may result in account termination.
